Today at the Garage we are going to take a look at our 40 ounce Hydro Flask pouch. The 40 ounce Hydro Flask growler pouch is made from 500D Cordura. It has an eighth of an inch of insulation and padding, a drawstring at the top to keep it secure, three rows of MOLLE/PALs webbing around the middle, and standard MOLLE attachment on the back with two loops in case you want to use a grim lock to hang it or fasten a carrying strap. The snaps used in the MOLLE attachment are brass powder coated black so they won’t rust or corrode. There is also a 3/8 of an inch brass powder coated black grommet on the bottom to let out any excess moisture or spillage from filling the 40 ounce Hydro Flask.
My 40 ounce Hydro Flask is one of those pieces of equipment I always take in my vehicle. Every time I’m leaving for more than a trip to the grocery store, I fill it with water and ice, drop it in its handy pouch, and head off. The great thing about my Hydro Flask is the way it keeps the water cold. I can leave it in the car in southern Virginia heat for 24 hours open it up and there’s still ice in it. This makes it a really handy piece of equipment when you’re headed off for an afternoon, a weekend with the family, or if you need to bug out.
